A little help
with Still.

Open one of the sample readings, or tap + in the library to paste text or import a file. Open the reading, choose Read, and press Play. The + and − controls adjust the pace.

In the library and reader, Help (?) is at the far right. Settings is immediately to its left. Settings changes Paper/Midnight colors, Normal/Larger text, starting speed, natural pauses, and available voices. The in-app ? guide explains each reading mode.

1. In the reader, tap Full screen directly below the word, near the center.
2. All menus disappear. Tap anywhere to pause or resume.
3. Swipe down across the screen and release to return to the reader. Your place is kept.
4. For the paragraph, open Full picture → Full screen. Tap Show controls at the bottom to restore the menus, then Done. Swiping down in this mode scrolls the page instead of closing it.

Open Full picture → Full screen → Lift words. The word enlarges at the center while the paragraph follows automatically. Dragging or selecting text pauses playback. Tap Resume to return to the current word. Tap × to turn off Word Lift; Show controls also pauses and restores the menus.

Choose Listen in the reader and press Play. Settings offers the Apple voices available on your iPhone and voice pace choices. The word follows the voice. Playback pauses when you leave Still, lock the phone, or disconnect headphones. If a voice is missing, check the voices downloaded in your iPhone settings.

Use Define beside the current word in Full picture, or select a word and choose Define. Touching a letter does not automatically open a definition. Scroll the passage normally with your finger. Definitions depend on the dictionaries installed on your iPhone.

Use New reading → Open file for unprotected EPUB, text files, or PDFs with selectable text. Still imports reading text, not page artwork. DRM-protected books, locked PDFs, scanned/image-only PDFs, and direct Apple Books library access are not supported. Choose files under 20 MB with no more than 5 MB of extracted text.

Open Settings → Backup & sync → Export library backup and save the file using Files. Restore library backup previews a selected backup before importing it. Keep copies somewhere you trust: they contain your complete reading text and saved items. A backup does not include your Pro purchase.

No. Reading works locally and iCloud sync is off by default. Enable it under Backup & sync if you want to use your own iCloud account. Disabling sync keeps the local library and does not erase existing iCloud copies. Periodic exported backups are still useful.

At launch, keep three personal readings at a time plus all three samples. Every reading tool is included. Optional Still Pro removes the personal library limit with a one-time purchase; there is no subscription. Existing readings remain accessible if purchase access ends.

Open Settings → Still Pro → Restore purchases using the Apple Account that bought Pro. Apple manages payment and refunds. A pending or Ask to Buy purchase unlocks only after Apple confirms approval. If the product is unavailable, try again when connected to the App Store. Still is not yet publicly released.
